Viktor Stojkoski

Assistant Professor · Faculty of Economics, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje

I am a Macedonian researcher with doctorates in Computer Science (2020) and Economics (2023). My work applies multidisciplinary approaches to puzzles in economics, with two main strands: economic complexity, using network science and machine learning methods to understand, predict and optimize economic development, and economic mobility, using statistical mechanics to understand the dynamics of inequality.

I was previously a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Collective Learning, University of Toulouse. I also advise governments and international organizations such as the World Bank on trade, productivity, and poverty. I received the Best Young Social Scientist of North Macedonia award (2021) and the Best Social Scientist award of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University (2022).
